This photo, e-mailed by Timothy Chase, shows Mason Tvert, the executive director of Safer Choice, giving a news conference on Oct. 19 near Invesco Field on Federal Blvd., the site of the group’s controversial billboard advocating the legalization of marijuana. The group’s original billboard showed a battered woman, but agreed to replace the billboard with one without the woman after complaints.

The group is sponsoring a ballot initiative, I-100, which would make the possession of less than an ounce of marijuana legal in the city of Denver for adults over 21. Voters will decide on the ballot initiative on November 1.
