Four teams have made the cut to serve as consultant for developing a downtown plan.
The city and county of Denver and the Downtown Denver Partnership, the nonprofit organization that operates the 16th Street Mall, are expected to select a consultant for the plan as early as next month. Teams still in the running are:
Denver companies EDAW, David Owen Tryba Architects, Shears Adkins Architects and Fehr & Peers; Urbanics Consultants Ltd. of Vancouver, British Columbia; and Economic Strategies of Berkeley, Calif.
Moore Iacofano Goltsman of Berkeley; Progressive Urban Management Associates of Denver; Urbantrans Consultants Inc. of Denver; and Carl Walker Inc. of Tempe, Ariz.
Cooper Carry: The Center for Connective Architecture of Atlanta; and Denver companies Civitas, Christensen Consulting, Matrix Design Group and Ross Consulting Group.
Urban Strategies Inc. of Toronto; IBI Group and David Evans and Associates, both of Denver; A. Nelessen Associates of Belle Mead, N.J.; and RCL Co. of Los Angeles.
