Nick Mystrom is The Master Builder.

The 34-year-old Denver developer and builder – and co-owner of the popular Coral Room restaurants – is about to star in his own TV series.

“The Big Build” will debut on the History Channel at 9 p.m. Nov. 21. The show is a mix of construction and history. Mystrom goes on location and helps build stuff like a Viking ship, a medieval castle, a Lewis & Clark fort, a lighthouse and a Chicago speakeasy. And at the end of each show, he gives the thing he built away to some deserving person who needs, say, a castle.

“It’s not every day you get paid to go build a Viking ship,” Mystrom says.

Mystrom is hosting a viewing party of a tape of the first episode 8 p.m. Nov. 21 at the Coral Room in Highland.
