Frontier Airlines and Intrawest Corp. are re-upping a ski season marketing partnership that doled out 2,500 free lift tickets and 5.3 million frequent-flier miles last winter.

“We were pleased with the numbers. That’s why we’re doing it again,” said Darcy Morse, communications manager for Intrawest’s Winter Park Resort.

This year, travelers who fly the Denver-based airline weekdays today through Feb. 28 can get two-for-one lift tickets at Intrawest’s two Colorado resorts by redeeming their boarding passes at resort ticket windows.

And holders of Intrawest’s Rocky Mountain Super Pass can earn 5,000 Frontier frequent-flier miles by visiting Copper Mountain or Winter Park at least 15 times this winter.

Last season, just over 1,000 people earned the mileage bonus, said Frontier spokesman Joe Hodas. “It helps us generate new Early Returns (frequent-flier program) members,” he said.

It takes 15,000 frequent-flier miles to earn a free domestic ticket on Frontier.

New this year, Frontier will offer Intrawest merchandise, such as lessons and lodging packages, on its online-auction and shopping website, the More Store.

Frontier and Intrawest will pass out 3 million frequent-flier miles and 1,000 lift tickets at 8:30 a.m. today at Frontier’s Denver International Airport counter.
