Two men wearing bandanas over their faces drove up to a man standing beside a Westminster street and fatally shot him Thursday night, police say.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries, said Trevor Materasso, Westminster police spokesman.
Police officers found the man lying in the street at 76th Avenue and Irving Street after they were called at about 8:45 p.m., Materasso said.
Witnesses said the suspect car went south on Irving Street and one or both of the men inside shot at the victim, whose identity is not being released pending notification of family members, he said.
The suspect vehicle, described as a green late 1990s Ford Explorer, sped away westbound on 76th Avenue.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses about the shooting, Materasso said.
