Boston – Brett Sterling’s third goal of the game just 52 seconds into overtime gave Colorado College a 6-5 victory over Boston University on Saturday night.
The third-ranked Tigers (12-3-1) led 5-2 after Scott McCulloch’s power-play goal at 3:25 of the third period.
But the No. 20 Terriers (4-5-2) fought back, scoring three straight goals, including two in the final two minutes of regulation after pulling their goalie. Kenny Roche pulled BU within 5-4 at 18:30, before Brad Zancanaro tied it just 30 seconds later.
Goals from Chad Rau, Sterling and Jack Hillen gave the Tigers a 3-0 lead early in the second period. BU’s Jason Lawrence and Peter MacArthur scored second-period power-play goals to make it 3-2 at the second intermission.
John Laliberte had three assists for the Terriers.
