Air Force Academy – Antoine Hood had 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting to lead Air Force to a 63-44 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Wednesday night.
The Falcons won their fourth straight game to improve to 6-1, tying the best start in school history. Air Force made seven of its first 10 3-pointers to take a double-figure lead, 20-8, with 12:18 remaining in the first half.
Behind 65 percent shooting and 15 points from Hood, Air Force took a commanding 45-20 first-half lead to the locker room and never looked back.
“The sky is the limit,” Hood said about the Falcons.
“We have great chemistry this year, and we’re definitely a special team.”
Washington State 63, Wyoming 47
Pullman, Wash. – Derrick Low and Kyle Weaver scored 15 points apiece for the Cougars (3-1).
The Cowboys (3-2) trailed 36-19 at the half, and never drew closer than 15 points in the second half.
Grand Canyon 100, CU-Colorado Springs 68
Colorado Springs – Noe Alonzo scored 28 points to lead the Antelopes (5-1) to a sweep of the home-and-home series.
The Mountain Lions (0-3) rallied midway through the second half to cut the deficit to 11, but the Antelopes went on a 9-0 run to secure the victory.
