’80s parties are so friggin’ 2004. Friday
’80s proms, ’80s dancing, ’80s hairstyles – the retro revival (against which I have protested from the beginning, I might add) are over.
The ’80s have died – yet another – terrible death.
And thankfully so – let us welcome their decade-older, hotter, more flourecent sibling, the ’90s!
You can help celebrate the return of the ’90s at Mattie’s House of Mirror tonight for Bayside High Holiday Ball and Beer Olympix – a beer pong party where patrons are encouraged to wear as much day-glo and acid wash as humanly possible.
Honoring the local Play Coed teams and players, Zach Morris and his brick cell phone will be waiting for you.
What: Bayside High Holiday Ball and Beer Olympix
Where: 1946 Market Street, 7 p.m.
Cost: $10

Wrap up your list of resolutions! Friday
The end of the year is near, and you still haven’t gone to First Friday?
Lucky you!
This First Friday is the last First Friday in Denver’s Golden Triangle district for the rest of 2005, and you don’t want to miss it.
That means that tonight, you can meander in and about 50 art galleries, whose doors will be open late to house the gaggles of oglers.
First Friday is a truly local experience. Bundle up!
