The Oak Ridge Boys moved from gospel to country music in 1977 with the album “Y’All Come Back Saloon.” The hit single of the title track sent the Boys on their way to a remarkable career. And they’re still at it, touring each year from coast to coast. They visit the Paramount Theatre on Feb. 17. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($29.50-$55, Ticketmaster).
Lifehouse released its third album, which was self-titled, this summer. It has since gone gold and spawned a No.1 single, “You and Me.” The Los Angeles-based rock trio comes to the Paramount Theatre on Jan. 23. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($25, Ticketmaster).
Aimee Mann is a singer and a songwriter and a boxer, hence the name of her 2005 album “The Forgotten Arm.” The title comes from a boxing term that relates to one’s opponent concentrating on one hand until he or she gets hit with the other one. Mann comes to the Boulder Theater – to sing, not to fight – on Jan. 27. Tickets go on sale at noon Saturday ($25, 303-786-7030).
Kris Kristofferson should thank God he can write great songs because he has a terrible voice, his friend Willie Nelson once said. There is more than a grain of truth in that observation, but there is something special about hearing a great songwriter sing his own song. Kristofferson plays the Paramount Theatre on Jan. 20. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($35-$45, Ticketmaster).
B.B. King is still on the road on his 80th Birthday Celebration Tour. But then King plays an average of 250 gigs a year, so he’s always on one tour or another. The celebration tour came through Denver this summer with several other acts featured. But this time it’s King alone on Feb. 21 at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday ($45-$65, Ticketmaster).
