The New York Daily News reports Michael Jackson’s family fears the pop star’s alleged pill-popping has spun “out of control.” He abused the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, according to “Michael Jackson: The Man Behind the Mask,” a book released last summer. Brother Randy Jackson is leading the drive to get Michael into rehab after Grace Rwaramba, nanny to Jackson’s children, implored the family to fly to Bahrain. A source told the Daily News, “Michael is bingeing again. Grace basically said she can’t handle him alone.” The singer’s rep, Raymone Bain, said Jackson “is clear-headed and articulate. He is not on drugs. It’s false.”

Bill Zwecker of the Chicago Sun-Times reports Lynne Spears has been talking to Federline’s ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson, perhaps to get dirt on K-Fed and build a case for Britney to permanently dump him.

Eminem admitted on a Detroit radio show Tuesday he and his ex-wife have reunited and may remarry. Eminem and Kimberly Mathers married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. The couple had an ugly custody battle over their young daughter.
Charity apparently does not begin at home for Christina Applegate. Her husband of four years, Johnathon Schaech, filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Us Weekly reports Applegate “was cheating on him while she was in New York doing ‘Sweet Charity’ (on Broadway),” a source told the magazine.
Hawaiian crooner Don Ho was recovering in Thailand after undergoing an experimental stem cell procedure on his ailing heart. A close friend told The Associated Press that Ho, 75, remained seriously ill in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
Omar Sharif pleaded not guilty Tuesday to charges he assaulted a valet who refused to accept his European currency. According to a civil lawsuit filed in October by the valet, Sharif, 73, was belligerent and intoxicated and called the valet a “stupid Mexican”when he refused to accept a 20-euro note.

Bertinelli files for divorce from Van Halen
Valerie Bertinelli and her rock star husband, Eddie Van Halen, are divorcing after 24 years of marriage, Bertinelli’s publicist confirmed. Bertinelli, 45, filed a divorce petition in Los Angeles Superior Court. The couple wed on April 11, 1981, and have one son, Wolfgang Van Halen, 14. According to the petition, they separated on Oct. 15, 2001.
