The Denver Outlaws, a newcomer to Major League Lacrosse, open their first season at Invesco Field at Mile High on May 20 against Chicago, another expansion club.
The Outlaws are scheduled to play six games at Invesco Field in 2006. The Outlaws play San Francisco at Kezar Stadium on May 27 in their first road game.
State soccer players named to scholar team
Regis University senior forward Kate Murphy was selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association scholar all-West Region first team. Rangers goalie Joanna Humphreys, a junior from Arvada, made the third team.
Adams State players selected were Mari Avalos, second team; and Amy Volturo, Ashley Ascherl and Carrie Jones, all third-team picks. Chelsea Zenner of Mesa State also was named to the third team.
