CU senior midfielder picks up soccer honor
University of Colorado senior midfielder Fran Munnelly was named to Soccer Buzz all-Central Region team, and CU defender Laura Munnelly was tabbed for the second team. University of Denver junior midfielder Laura Mann made the third team. Colorado College goaltender Geneva Sills and defender Molly Uyenishi were named to the regional all-freshman team by the online women’s soccer magazine.
CU men’s golf signs three
Two golfers who helped ThunderRidge High School to a fifth straight state title will play at Colorado, the school announced. Riley Andrews won the 5A title in 2004, and Luke Symons was third. Andrews was second and Symons sixth at the state championships this fall. Also signing was Mexico City’s Diego Muñoz de Cote Artegas, who won the Mexico City Junior the past two years.
