There’s more than one hockey power
The uninformed reader wouldn’t know it (especially from reading The Post) that there are actually two nationally ranked college hockey teams in the state. It seems that this paper deliberately omits any recognition of the “other team” south of Monument Hill, which, by the way, has been ranked in the top three nationally since the beginning of the season. In case you are wondering, I am referring to the Colorado College Tigers, who get more respect in the rest of the collegiate hockey world than they do in their own state.
Does anybody in the metro area even know that CC has produced finalists for the past two Hobey Baker Awards (given to the top college player)? Instead of wasting so much time reporting on all the negative sports stories coming out of Boulder, why don’t you write about actual athletic competition.

“Extremes” articles are right on target
I finally got a chance to read this week’s “Outdoor Extremes” section. Since you started publishing this section, I have begun to look forward to getting the paper every Tuesday to see what your columnists write about and what activities are going on. This is a great section and a great way to publicize some of the popular but not mainstream sports. I especially enjoyed your recent articles on cyclocross, and would like to see more stories on the local and national bicycling scene.
