A 49-year-old man walking across Federal Boulevard early Friday morning was struck and killed by a large truck near the intersection with 38th Avenue.
The truck, described as a “box” truck similar to a moving truck, stopped and the driver was interviewed by police.
Police said the victim was not using a crosswalk when he tried crossing the boulevard about 6:55 a.m. He was killed on impact.
His identity was not released.
