Aurora – A children’s identification and fingerprinting session is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Kid to Kid store, 15035 E. Mississippi Ave.

There is no cost for the service, which gives parents a way to record their child’s fingerprints and physical characteristics. Merchant Ryan King said he wanted to give something back to the community.

Some estimates suggest thousands of kids “are reported missing in America every year, and the vast majority of these haven’t been fingerprinted since birth,” he said. “With fingerprints and IDs on file, parents of missing children greatly increase the chances of having their youngsters found.”

A clown will do free face painting and make free balloon animals.
