No jolly holiday for Cruise?
Tom Cruise spent the holidays with his fiancée Katie Holmes’ parents, hoping to mend fences in suburban Toledo, Ohio.
The new issue of Life & Style Weekly reports the visit ended three days early and the pregnant “Katie was in tears, but that’s standard when it comes to dealing with family matters and Tom,” according to a “close friend” of the Holmes family. A spokesman for Cruise denied the story, but Katie’s lawyer father already has expressed doubts about his actress-daughter’s relationship with the film star.
Dr. Jesse Spencer, his fans all presume
He’s not a doctor, but Jesse Spencer plays one on TV.
Spencer, who plays Dr. Robert Chase on the Fox medical drama “House,” says fans are convinced by his acting. Many people ask him to diagnose their ailments, he told contactmusic.com.
“I was in Las Vegas and I had this Australian guy come up to me, and the first thing he says is, ‘I’ve got a lump on my leg,”‘ Spencer said. “And he really did. I told him to go and see a specialist, but I also told him I thought it was a benign cyst.”

It’s not easy being Howard Stern’s daughter.
Emily Stern has pulled out of the off-Broadway satire “Kabbalah” after six weeks when fan websites revealed her identity, the New York Daily News’ Lloyd Grove reported. Emily portrayed pop star Madonna in the play and performed nude in the final 10 minutes.
Playwright/director Tuvia Tenenbom angrily canceled the show until he can find a replacement. “(Emily) said she was freaked out and had to quit … just what she promised me she would not do,” Tenenbom said. “After I cast her in late September, her father called her in for a meeting. She came back very shaken. She said, ‘My father basically told me that if I take the role, that his enemies would buy blocks of tickets, throw garbage at (me), take nude pictures of me and put them all over the Internet.”‘

A British government-sponsored Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender group wrongly outed Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey, left, contactmusic.com reports.
Spacey, whose has refused to discuss his sexuality amid rumors he is gay, is named with Oscar Wilde, Tennessee Williams and Irish TV star Graham Norton as gay on documents offered to UK schools by the LGBT group. Organizer Paul Patrick apologized for Spacey’s inclusion: “We double-check our material carefully, but Mr Spacey’s name got through. I don’t know how; it will be withdrawn. It should not have happened, and we apologize.”

Dennis Rodman boarded a flight from Los Angeles to London on Tuesday via a special entrance, the Daily News’ Grove reported.
A first-class passenger on the British Airways flight was told the door was for first-class clients. But later an airline agent said the door was used “because that was Dennis Rodman.” The former NBA star was heading to London to participate in the British version of “Big Brother.”
When Rodman finally reached London, he handed out 20-pound notes to transients outside a nightclub, ananova.com reported. Rodman’s a reality show regular. He won $222,000 on the “Celebrity Mole Yucatan.”
