Commerce City Police have located a man suspected of shooting his ex-wife at her job on Wednesday.
Just after 3:30 this morning, police learned that Brian Fossey, 40, was in a car accident on I-76, near Greeley. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. Police planned to take him into custody as soon as he is released.
Fossey is suspected in the shooting of his ex-wife in the parking lot of Elite Auto Glass on E. 56th Avenue around 5 p.m. on Wednesday. She is hospitalized, in Denver, but expected to recover. Her name is not being released.
Fossey, from Westminster, is facing first-degree assault charges in the shooting.
