POWER UP: Energy ideas that keep giving
The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory is offering consumer workshops on solar, wind and biomass energy for farms and ranches during the stock show.
The workshops feature hands-on displays of clean, renewable energy systems, which can provide power for irrigation, stock watering, electric fences and other practical uses.
The free workshops are at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. today and 10 a.m. on Jan. 22. All workshops will be held in the Beef Palace Auction Arena, in the basement of the Hall of Education.
