The struggling Colorado State men could be short-handed Saturday when the Rams host San Diego State.
Guard Sean Morris reinjured his right hand Wednesday in a loss at Air Force and is questionable against the Aztecs. CSU coach Dale Layer said Morris originally hurt his hand at TCU on Jan. 21 and has been in a shooting slump.
Backup freshman point guard Chris Harris suffered a hip pointer against Air Force and also is questionable for Saturday.
Layer said assistant coach Bill Peterson had successful surgery on his ruptured Achilles tendon and is recuperating at home.
Peterson, who was injured during practice Monday, will be out at least until the middle of this month.
San Diego State, meanwhile, will be without freshman forward Kyle Spain, who is suspended indefinitely for what Aztecs coach Steve Fisher described as “conduct detrimental to the team.”
