Hays, Kan. – Lindsay Viall hit a jumper with 48 seconds remaining Saturday to give Regis University a 64-60 lead over Fort Hays State, then Stevi Seitz rebounded a Hays miss and made two free throws to seal a 69-63 victory and keep Regis undefeated in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Diana Lopez led Regis (21-3, 13-0) with 19 points. Ashlee Gustin topped the Tigers (17-4, 11-2) with 13 points.
Colo.-Colo. Springs 60, Adams State 48
Alamosa – The Mountain Lions (9-11, 7-6 RMAC) held Adams State to 20 percent shooting in the first half while building a 26-14 halftime lead and cruised after that. Julie Richards topped UCCS with 16 points. Erica Marquez had 16 for the Grizzlies (3-18, 2-11).
Fort Lewis 79, N. Mexico Highlands 47
Durango – The Skyhawks (11-10, 8-5 RMAC) held Highlands (6-13, 3-10) to 3-of-19 shooting (15.8 percent) while building a 38-16 halftime lead and stayed in a tie with CSU-Pueblo atop the RMAC West Division.
Nebraska-Kearney 94, Colorado Christian 50
Kearney, Neb. – All five Lopers starters scored in double figures as Kearney dominated. The Lopers (15-6, 10-3 RMAC) almost doubled the Cougars in shot attempts in the first half, shooting 20-of-42 in the first half to Colorado Christian’s 7-of-23. Melissa Hinkley led Kearney with 17 points. Sara Davis had 16 for the Cougars (4-19, 1-12).
CSU-Pueblo 79, Mesa State 69
Pueblo – The Thunderwolves made 13-of-14 free throws after Mesa State (7-14, 5-8 RMAC) had cut the lead to 64-61 with 3:49 to play. Mary Rehfeld made four free throws down the stretch to seal the win for CSU-Pueblo (13-8, 8-5).
Metro State 84, Chadron State 79
Chadron, Neb. – Danielle Ellerington’s 17 points led five players in double figures for Metro State as the Roadrunners edged Chadron State.
Rianna Harris added a double-double for Metro State (14-6, 11-2 RMAC) with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Bec Kyba scored a game-high 36 points for the Eagles (3-18, 2-11 RMAC).
Northern Colorado 63, Texas A&M-C.C. 62
Corpus Christi, Texas – Freshman Jabrenta Hubbard’s layup with one second remaining gave the Bears the win at the American Bank Center.
Danielle Hagen scored a team-high 16 points to lead the Bears (11-9).
Terra Andrews led the Islanders (11-9) with 17 points.
