Jarrod Boswell is no longer on the Wyoming basketball roster, Cowboys coach Steve McClain said.
Boswell, a redshirt sophomore from Lakeside, Calif., wasn’t on the Wyoming bench for Saturday’s game against Air Force. When asked why Boswell didn’t make the trip, McClain said, “He’s no longer with the team.”
McClain refused to elaborate further, saying he won’t comment on players who aren’t part of his team. None of the other Cowboys would speak about Boswell’s departure, either.
The 7-foot, 290-pound Boswell was the biggest player on Wyoming’s roster. After injuring his left knee and redshirting the 2003-04 season, Boswell played in just three games last season, scoring a total of four points in 12 minutes. This season, Boswell played in nine games, averaging 2.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 7.1 minutes.
