Boulder – Jackie McFarland scored a game-high 29 points Monday to help Colorado snap a three-game skid in a 92-65 nonconference victory over Northern Colorado at the Coors Events Center.
The win also ended a four-game home losing streak for Colorado.
Jasmina Ilic added 17 points and seven assists as Colorado (8-17) shot a season-high 67.7 percent from the field in the first half. The Buffs led 53-29 at halftime and never were tested in the second half. Northern Colorado (12-11) shot 33.3 percent, including 12-of-42 from 3-point range.
McFarland added 13 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season. Her 12 double-doubles tied Erin Scholz (1995-96) for the school’s fourth best single-season mark. Anna Nedovic scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
Heather Barbour led the Bears with 13 points, while Jabrenta Hubbard added 12.
“We had great team chemistry,” Colorado coach Kathy McConnell-Miller said. “Jasmina got us into a rhythm we have not been in for a long time, and that opened up post play.”
Colorado finished with a 53-22 advantage in rebounds, its largest margin this season.
