Every bride needs a string of Pearl Street.
Pearl Street South has begun a wonderful time-saving focus for spouses-to-be.
The old shopping district has organized Wedding Wednesdays, a day allocated for those in the market for nuptial needs with stores and shop owners personally presenting goods and services all for the big day, in one convenient four-block radius.
From your dress to your flowers, invitations to photos, check the website for participating stores, dates, times, and a map.

Hump day is for dancing.
If you crave dancing off of the Broadway beat on a Wednesday, and your wardrobe is bursting with leather chaps or drag regalia, Charlie’s is probably a little more your taste.
Designed for the colorful and eccentric, and men who prefer men, Charlie’s (the only place proud enough to call itself a “‘straight-friendly’ gay country/western and pop dance club) is a true taste of urban nightlife culture.
What: Retro Wednesdays at Charlie’s
Where: Party Bar, 900 East Colfax

Have you ever noticed how all of the magnets on your refrigerator seem like their random order is telling a story, and that if you listen hard enough, you’ll see their improvisational irony and continuous plot?
Yeah, me either.
Fortunately, Buntport Theater’s Magnets on the Fridge series has less to do with its name and more to do with its audience-inspired literary-driven improv performances.
Its ‘continuous’ episodes are a thought-provoking hoot, and their popularity speaks for itself. It’s like watching Oprah’s book club in a live-action reality series.
What: Magnets on the Fridge, Episode 7
Where: Buntport Theater, 717 Lipan, 8 p.m. (get there early for seating)
