This new sitcom follows a young man who graduates from a California university and then returns to his hometown in rural Missouri, where he struggles to re-acquire a taste for Pabst Blue Ribbon and REO Speedwagon. Many Midwestern states are developing programs to fight “brain drain” by luring back college graduates, promising to import foreign movies and Thai restaurants while training local café owners to at least pronounce the word “latte” correctly.
