Fort Collins – Last season Clint Fick coached Thompson Valley into the Class 4A football semifinals, with a 26-20 upset over crosstown rival Loveland the biggest victory.
This fall, Fick will take on an even bigger challenge: He will coach Fossil Ridge, which will be a third-year program in search of its first win.
Before taking over at Thompson Valley, his alma mater, Fick guided Faith Christian to a Class 3A state title in 1998 and was named the Denver Broncos’ high school coach of the year in Colorado. The Fossil Ridge SaberCats of Fort Collins, who went 0-20 with five shutouts and a forfeit in 4A play the past two seasons, will drop to 3A this coming fall.
