The Maxwell Football Club named Colorado Crush offensive specialist Damian Harrell its 2005 Arena Football League player of the year. Harrell previously was named the AFL’s offensive player of the year for his 2005 season, in which he caught 122 passes for 1,486 yards and 41 touchdowns for the AFL champion Crush.

Lopez sisters sweep RMAC awards

For the second straight season, Regis University junior guard Diana Lopez was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference player of the year, but she was denied a second consecutive defensive player of the year award, which went to her twin sister, junior forward Denise. The Rangers’ Linda Raunig was named coach of the year.

Colorado Mines guard freshman Kyle Pape was named the RMAC men’s freshman of the year.
