Today an Adams County jury was unable to reach a consensus and failed to deliver a verdict for Shareef Aleem, a community activist who was on trial for allegedly assaulting a University of Colorado campus police officer during a speech by professor Ward Churchill a year ago.
The four-day trial concluded late this morning. By mid-afternoon, the 12-member jury told Judge Katherine Delgado it was unable to reach a unanimous decision.
