Interstate 70 reopened in eastern Colorado early today, nearly 18 hours after a spring storm swept into the state with up to a foot of snow.
More than a dozen eastern Colorado school districts remained closed for a second day.
Eastbound lanes of I-70 closed late Monday morning from just east of Denver to the Kansas border, about 155 miles. The Colorado Department of Transportation reopened the lanes at about 3 a.m.
Westbound lanes did not close down.
I-70 had also been closed in parts of Kansas but it was open again by today.
