Is Whitney Houston hooked on crack cocaine and living in squalor? The National Enquirer reports the pop singer spends weeks at a time in seedy crack dens, according to Houston’s sister, Tina.

Tina told the Enquirer: “The truth needs to come out. Whitney won’t stay off the drugs … Everyone is so scared she is going to overdose.”

Has James Gandolfini fallen off the wagon?

National Enquirer reports “The Sopranos” star was spotted tippling at his old drinking haunts, like New York’s Gaslight Lounge, after two years of sobriety. Gandolfini was spotted with a mystery blond at Buddy Guy’s Legends nightclub on March 17. A spy told the Enquirer: “(Gandolfini) started licking her face and her head (like) he was licking a lollipop.”

This was news to Kathrina Miccio, “Sopranos” makeup artist and Gandolfini’s girlfriend.

“I’m shocked. We’ve been dating since June,” an irate Miccio told the New York Daily News. “He’s been telling me we have a future together. There has got to be an explanation for this – and I’m going to get one.”

Nicollette Sheridan plays a sexpot on “Desperate Housewives,” but her ex says that’s all acting. Former fiancé Nicklas Soderblom told the London Mirror: “She uses her sexuality to get what she wants and as soon as the ring is on her finger, she stops wanting to have sex. She’s afraid of commitment.”

Sheridan is engaged to Michael Bolton, and Soderblom has advice for the singer. “I feel sorry for Michael, because I think he really loves her … there’s no way a relationship is going to work with Nicollette Sheridan.”

No wedding in sight, and a tiff may be brewing between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

A source told Star magazine the couple argues “about everything, from his cigarette smoking to world politics to how much he loves her!” Pitt wants to get married, but Jolie is resisting, Star reported.

Jolie’s dying mother, actress Marcheline Betrand, has arrived in Paris from Los Angeles to be on hand for the birth of the couple’s child.

Mariah Carey is close to fulfilling her lifelong dream to appear on Broadway. Carey told MTV she hopes to create, produce and star in a show including songs from her 1994 album “Merry Christmas.” Carey said, “I don’t want to mention anything definitive until things are signed, but there’s a very big company that just signed on to develop the project with me.” She also said the project likely would be a movie for the big screen or TV first.

Barbra Streisand had a busy single life. A new book claims the singer and actress had affairs with both Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s doomed lover Dodi Fayed.

According to Christopher Anderson’s biography, “Barbra: The Way She Is,” Streisand had an affair with Charlie Chaplin’s son Sydney during the 1963 stage production of “Funny Girl.” Other notable conquests: Liam Neeson, Warren Beatty, Ryan O’Neal, Steve McQueen, Kris Kristofferson, Jon Voight, Richard Gere, Omar Sharif, Peter Weller, Tommy Smothers and Don Johnson.

Britney Spears’ lawyers must be busy too. Former security guards have sued the singer, alleging she did not pay them overtime and caused them to miss meals. Lonnie D. Jones, Randy Jones and Silas Dukes are asking for compensation for unpaid overtime and penalties for alleged labor-law violations, according to a Los Angeles Times report.

Meanwhile, Spears’ songwriters are suing a South Korean pop composer of plagiarism. The songwriters claim “Get Ya,” performed by Korean singer Lee Hyo-lee, sounds similar to Spears’ “Do Something.”
