If you were anywhere near Riverwalk Theater in Edwards on Monday afternoon, you may have had a brush with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Brad Pitt slid into town and into a backdoor at Riverwalk Theater to greet a select group of influencers who were in the valley specifically to get an exclusive preview of Pittap latest film with Paramount Pictures, “Heart of the Beast,” which comes out nationwide in theaters on Sept. 25.

“Paramount reached out to us about a month ago about hosting an event. They had a number of influencers they were bringing in for the ‘Heart of the Beast’ Colorado Creator Retreat and wanted to host a private screening for 50 people,” said Grant Smith, who owns the Riverwalk Theater with his wife, Katherine. “And they were kind of vague and said maybe Brad Pitt would stop by, maybe not, but we weren’t supposed to tell anyone what was going on with this event.”
As a small-town theater owner, Smith knew that a visit would be a pretty big deal. “I mean, someone like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise, these names are very bankable movie stars in the industry,” Smith said.
Once the influencers were settled in their seats inside the theater, Pitt, dressed in a green button-down shirt, tie, jeans, jean jacket, boots and sunglasses, slid in through a side door and greeted them. While the influencers watched the movie, Pitt went outside and took some promotional photos with “Heart of the Beast” director, David Ayer, under the Riverwalk Theater’s marquee, but it wasn’t long before he summoned some kids to come and take a photo with him.
