The International Ski History Association is hosting Ski Heritage Week beginning today at Vail and culminating Saturday with Colorado Ski History Day.

Events include presentations and re-enactments by 10th Mountain Division veterans Wednesday at Ski Cooper.

Saturday’s festivities at Vail will include an on-mountain demonstration of the evolution of technique highlighting Art Furrer, a Swiss freestyle pioneer and others. Antique ski fashions and equipment will be featured on the mountain throughout the day and at an après ski reception on Pepi’s Deck in Vail.
