Colorado Crush offensive specialist Damian Harrell is on the march.
Harrell’s run to an AFL single-season record for receiving touchdowns is building momentum after his best three-game span of the season. Harrell scored five touchdowns last week against Kansas City, bringing his most recent three-game total to 13.
Harrell has 43 touchdowns – three shy of tying the AFL record – with four regular-season games remaining.
Harrell continues to build on his league record for consecutive games with a receiving touchdown at 61.
“I’m amazed at his ability, but I also like him as a person,” coach Mike Dailey said. “He’s a humble person and an unselfish player.”
The Crush offensive specialist was named the league’s offensive player of the week for his performance against Kansas City. It was his first weekly award of the season, but he has received player of the month and player of the year awards.
The league also honored Philadelphia’s Sean Scott as Ironman and San Jose’s Clevan Thomas as defensive player of the week.
Fan Response
Again this year, fans may vote for yearly honors in the categories of Ironman, defensive player, offensive player, lineman, kicker, rookie and coach.
According to the league, fan response will be calculated into the final count. Voting can be done at www.arenafootball.com.
