Pizza on a different plane: If your excuse for not moving to rural Alaska is that you won’t be able to have pizza delivered to your house, you need a new excuse. Airport Pizza provides free delivery by airplane to rural villages around Nome, Alaska. With the motto, “You Buy – We Fly,” the menu has “classic” pizzas, such as pepperoni, meat-lover’s and vegetarian. For the more adventurous, there’s chicken with “country ranch sauce” instead of red sauce, specialty pizzas like bacon cheeseburger and Alfredo pepper steak, several “dessert” pizzas, and even pizzas made with reindeer sausage. Prices range from $16 for a regular 15-inch cheese pizza to $32 for an extra-large 19-inch reindeer sausage pizza.|Andrea E. Labak
