Coloradans have lots of toys. Toting the toys is a perpetual challenge, especially when it comes to bikes. A couple bikes atop the rig usually means the cargo box is left at home, forcing back-seat passengers to ride with their feet on gear bags and knees around their ears. Aurora rider Mike Latham was in just that position when he dreamed up the Original Shuttle Pack.
The wedge-shaped pack (MSRP $90) holds loads of gear and – this is the good part – mounts underneath your roof-top bike. Latham’s simple, ingenious invention boasts expandable compartments for muddy shoes and wet gear, and its bomber Cordura construction weathers any abuse. The pack straps easily to any fork-mounted ride.
