Michael Jackson is hitting the West End stage in London, or at least his music is. Skynews.com’s Neil Sean reports a musical dedicated to Jackson’s hits will begin performances in October. Sean also reported Jackson may record a special DVD message to be played nightly during the show.
Kelly Ripa went to the luxe children’s website felderandcharles.com to place a rush order for a baby gift for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ new daughter, Suri, the New York Post reported. Ripa purchased a pair of Roberto Cavalli ballerina Swarovski-crystal crib shoes for $114. Is Ripa angling to get the couple on her snarky morning TV talk show?
Prince Harry says he will quit the Army if he is not sent to the Iraq war’s front lines, the Mail on Sunday reported. Harry, 21, was commissioned earlier this month as a second lieutenant in the Household Cavalry’s Blues and Royals, the Army’s oldest and most senior regiment. The Blues and Royals have been deployed in almost every major Army operation of the past two decades, including the Falklands, both Gulf wars, Bosnia and Kosovo. The Mail reported Harry told senior officers at Sandhurst: “If I am not allowed to join my unit in a war zone, I will hand in my uniform.”
Gillian Anderson and her husband, photojournalist and filmmaker Julian Ozanne, are separating, the Daily Mail of London reported. The “The X-Files” series and movie star and Ozanne married in December 2004.
Actor Sean Patrick Thomas married actress Aonika Laurent in New Orleans on Saturday, People magazine reported. The couple, both 35, postponed their wedding last fall because of Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans is Laurent’s hometown.
Foo Fighters lead singer Dave Grohl and his wife, Jordyn Blum, welcomed their first child, daughter Violet Maye, on April 15. Grohl, 37, and Blum, 29, a former MTV producer, married in 2003.
