Lockheed Martin announced Friday the selection of the new head of their Colorado operation.
Joanne M. Maguire, 52, will succeed G. Thomas Marsh, 62, as executive vice president of Lockheed’s Jefferson County-based Space Systems unit. Marsh is retiring on July 1.
Reporting directly to chief executive Robert Stevens, Maguire will be responsible for all business operations and activities of the company’s $7 billion Space Systems unit.
Space Systems, which employs 18,000 worldwide and about 5,000 in Jefferson County, designs and manufactures launch vehicles, spacecraft and missile systems. Macguire has served as Marsh’s deputy since 2003.
