Five-race trail series home to Front Range runners
Trail runners on the Front Range sometimes need to travel a good bit to reach their races. The La Sportiva/GoLite Front Range Frenzy aims to feed the Front Range’s avid off-road trotters a little closer to home. The five-race trail series ventures into different Front Range terrain for each race. The first race is a 10K on Saturday, amid the rocks of Castlewood Canyon State Park south of Franktown. The second race is up Lookout Mountain outside Golden on July 22. Then comes the Aug. 5 race at Fort Collins’ Lory Park, the Aug. 26 run at Eldora Mountain Resort and the Oct. 14 series finale at Barr Lake State Park. Cash prizes await the top three point racers for the series.
