
The female driver killed by an ambulance in Boulder Monday night was identified today as a 16-year-old Boulder High School student.
The ambulance was traveling with lights and siren, but without a patient on board when it hit a Honda driven by Hannah Boemker at 30th Street and Euclid Avenue.
She was taken to the hospital but did not survive.
The Pridemark Paramedic Services ambulance driver was also injured. His condition is not known.
A second passenger in the ambulance was not hurt.
The accident occured at 6:50 p.m. Monday.
Police say the Honda turned onto 30th Street, in front of the fast-moving ambulance, which was responding to a call. The ambulance hit the Honda on the driver’s side.
Boemker was a junior at Boulder High School. She lived in Lafayette.
The investigation into the crash is expected to take several more days.
