An argument between two teenage brothers escalated into a stabbing and both boys had to be treated for injuries, Broomfield police said.

The 18-year-old stabbing victim was treated at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette in the intensive-care unit.

His 15-year-old brother was treated for injuries and then arrested. He was taken to the Adams County Youth Services Center, Broomfield police said.

The violent exchange took place at about 5 p.m. Wednesday at the teens’ home, in the 3300 block of West 126th Avenue.

The boys’ mother was not home at the time of the fight.

The incident remains under investigation, police said.
