The Colorado Legislature has approved Gov. Bill Owens’ appointment of two new members of the Colorado Wildlife Commission. They are Brad Coors, president of Denver-based C5 Medicalwerks in Denver, and Roy McAnally, a Craig real estate broker who also has agricultural interests. In addition, commission chairman Jeff Crawford of Englewood was reappointed to a second term.
License applications
Youths 12 to 18 and women who are learning to hunt are eligible to participate in several hunts for big game and small game in western Colorado. Held separately with volunteer guides, these hunts may be accessed through applications available at Division of Wildlife offices in Grand Junction, Glenwood Springs, Meeker, Hot Sulphur Springs and Steamboat Springs. Applications must be filed by Aug. 1.
Meet the commissioners
Colorado Wildlife Commission members Dick Ray of Pagosa Springs and Robert Bray of Redvale will meet the public 6-9 p.m. May 12 at the Monte Vista Co-Op, 1901 East U.S. Highway 160. The commissioners will discuss current issues. Tom Spezze, Division of Wildlife southwest regional manager, also will attend along with area wildlife manager Rick Bassagoitia and other staff experts.
