A man who assaulted a Frontier Airlines flight attendant during a flight last September was sentenced today in federal court to three years’ probation.
Jason Tervort, who was flying from Houston to Denver, was also ordered to spend the first three months of probation on home detention with electronic monitoring.
According to an FBI arrest affidavit, Tervort got out of his seat shortly after takeoff and began walking “very aggressively” toward the front of the plane.
Tervort is accused of pushing and slapping a flight attendant, who called for help.
At the sentencing Friday, U.S. District Judge Edward Nottingham also ordered Tervort to undergo mental health counseling and to pay $1,200 in restitution to the flight attendant and the airline.
