Lawsuit against Nuggets’ Nene still in play
A lawsuit pending against Nuggets forward Nene remains on the docket after a Denver district court judge on Friday denied a motion to dismiss it. The motion was authored by Nene’s attorney to dismiss a breach-of-contract lawsuit filed by Nene’s former personal manager. Joseph Santos, the manager, alleges that when Nene fired him in March, the player breached a seven-year contract signed last July that was to pay Santos 6 percent of the forward’s annual gross revenue.
