
Danielle Mickells is a senior at ThunderRidge High School in Highlands Ranch. She has lettered twice in academics and has a 3.88 grade-point average.
Danielle played basketball during her freshman and sophomore years. She was a manager of the girls varsity team and the rugby team her junior year and is on the ThunderRidge/Mountain Vista team. She received a letter last year.
She has a professional volunteer internship at Eldorado Elementary School and assists the kindergarten and first-grade teachers for two class periods every day. Danielle is running a reading tutoring program after school two days a week.
In 2004 she attended the Summer Academy for Future Teachers at Colorado State University-Pueblo. Danielle is in the Future Educators of America and is co-vice president.
In the fall, Danielle plans to attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley and is planning a career as an elementary school teacher.
