Funding for recovery
Reel Recovery, the Colorado-based organization that operates fishing retreats for men recovering from cancer, will host its second annual wine tasting/auction fundraiser June 8. The 6-9 p.m. event at Hudson Gardens, 6115 S. Santa Fe Drive, will feature live music and costs $50. For information, call 303-324-9574.
Boating safety
A class to teach boating safety to southeast Colorado teenagers is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the John Martin Reservoir Visitor Center Conference Room. The course includes a home-study manual, a two-hour classroom review and a written exam. Preregistration is required, call 303-791-1954.
