High school sports: Lacrosse (center-midfielder, led Sun Devils to state runner-up Wednesday, 2005 All-Colorado by The Denver Post) and field hockey (forward).

My favorite subjects: Environmental biology and AP Spanish literature.

My favorite athlete: Joe Sakic. I’m a bit of a hockey fan.

My favorite team: Avalanche.

What I listen to: Country and rap.

The best thing on my training table: Chipotle.

Pregame ritual: This year, I wore my hair the same way, and I have a friend who gave me a big slap on the back.

Time management tip: People call me Hermione Granger, the nerd. I’m very focused. I keep myself organized.

Planned career: International relations; will play lacrosse at Dartmouth.

My family: Parents Maggie and Steve; sisters Lauren and Brooke.

I would love to visit: Galapagos Islands.

What I like most about high school sports: I like the camaraderie that comes with, and the friendships and fun.

What I like least about high school sports: Mentally, it’s tough sometimes, but besides that everything’s a learning lesson.

The Denver Post recognizes a female and male student-athlete of the week. At the end of the school year, 10 finalists will be chosen. Ultimately, The Post and The Denver Athletic Club will select one boy and one girl as student-athletes of the year, and a substantial donation will be made to a local charity in their names.
