Las Vegas – More than a dozen representatives from the DIA Partnership are among the exhibitors at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ spring convention.
For the first time, the partnership – along with officials such as Brighton Mayor Jan Pawlowski and developers – pitched the fast-growing region as a prime location for new companies. Officials of Denver International Airport touted 15 retail spaces that will soon be available within the terminal and concourses.
The northeast Denver metro region, which is expected to account for 30 percent of metro employment growth in future decades, needs more retail, said DIA Partnership vice president Susan Stanton.
The partnership and its delegation pitched a variety of developments, including High Point, Stapleton and the Peña Project retail development along Peña Boulevard.
Stanton said it will be several months before the group knows whether the effort results in solid business leads for the region.
