A man who fled from police early Tuesday after a short vehicle chase and an attempt to run down a Westminster officer was arrested late Tuesday after barricading himself in a house near 9600 Independence Drive, said Westminster Investigator Tim Read.
Julian Morales, 24, was arrested for investigation of assault of a police officer, motor-vehicle theft, eluding and drug possession, Read said. He surrendered to police about 10:25 p.m. Tuesday after a two-hour standoff.
The driver of the car, Jackie Lynn Douglas, 31, was arrested shortly after the chase ended.
