Vail Resorts Inc. is going on a hiring spree to fill 128 vacant corporate positions, many of which opened after the company decided to relocate its headquarters from Avon to Broomfield.
Vail Resorts has 25 jobs available in Broomfield, including positions in finance, human resources, marketing and sales. It hopes to attract qualified applicants at a job fair today.
“This is specifically geared toward the corporate positions that have become available because of employees making a personal decision to either stay here in the valley or to move on,” spokeswoman Kelly Ladyga said.
Vail Resorts chief executive Rob Katz announced the relocation in February and said he expected roughly 100 employees to make the move.
The company is also hiring for 80 jobs at Keystone, where it is moving many of its accounting jobs, and 23 jobs that are staying in Avon.
Vail Resorts will conduct interviews today from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at its Lakewood sales offices, 215 Union Blvd., Suite 600. Online applications: online at www.SkiJob1.com.
“It’s an exciting time to join the company as we transition our corporate headquarters and look to the future,” said Ladyga, who declined to discuss salary ranges. “And we are excited about the pool of talented candidates that we can draw from on the Front Range.”
Vail Resorts plans to move into the Interlocken area just off U.S. 36 by the end of July.
Vail Resorts’ stock closed at $35.90 Thursday, down 5 cents.
