Producers boast that “Maximum Living” host Randy Altig, a designer and consultant for such high-profile companies as Starbucks and Revlon, is “the male Martha Stewart” because of his knowledge of subjects ranging from tools to edible flowers. Altig’s five- day, half-hour series out of Seattle launches Monday with an episode about making soap, picking the perfect jeans, table-setting and inexpensive floral design.
