
Adam Rowan graduated May 27 from Evergreen High School and is a 2006 Boettcher Scholarship winner.
Adam also is a Yale Book Award winner for intellectual achievement and is a recent National Forensics League Degree of Merit inductee.
In his role as a “prosecuting attorney,” Adam was co-captain of the varsity mock-trial team, which placed first in regional competition and seventh at the state level. He has received several certificates of excellence from the Colorado Bar Association and has served on the school newspaper as a reporter, editor and editor in chief.
Adam has been active in community service for the past six years and has volunteered for the Dumb Friends League, Arthritis Foundation and AIDS Walk Colorado. He also was a neighborhood fund coordinator for the American Cancer Society.
Adam has a 4.0 grade-point average. He has taken an honors curriculum as well as Advanced Placement classes.
In the fall, Adam will attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he has been granted early admittance into the journalism program. He also has been accepted into CU’s Kittredge Honors Program. Adam plans to pursue a career in journalism or law.
